Adult Community Service Order Program (C.S.O.)
For eligible individuals serving a sentence for a minor offence, the C.S.O. program offers a way to give back to the community instead of serving time in custody. Participants complete their hours through meaningful community service, supporting local organizations across Niagara.
Adult Federal Diversion Program
This program offers an alternative to the standard court process. Participants take part in education and awareness sessions, and on successful completion, the criminal proceedings related to their charge are discontinued. A fee-for-service program focused on accountability and a fresh start.
Bail Verification and Supervision Program
For individuals released from custody on bail, this program provides supervision and support in the community. It helps people meet their bail conditions while reducing the strain on Ontario’s correctional facilities, keeping people connected to their lives, work, and families while their matter proceeds.
Direct Accountability Program
An alternative to prosecution for eligible individuals charged with minor offences. Rather than going through the courts, participants take responsibility through community-based sanctions, a path that holds people accountable while keeping minor matters out of the formal justice system.
Intermittent Program
For eligible individuals serving a sentence, the Intermittent Program offers a way to serve time on weekends while continuing to work and stay connected to family during the week. Participants complete their hours through community service with local non-profit organizations across Niagara, giving back while keeping their lives intact.
Justice Services Volunteer Program
This program creates meaningful volunteer opportunities for community members who want to give back. Volunteers support the work of JHS Niagara and the Ministry of the Solicitor General, playing a direct role in helping people in their community rebuild their lives.
Non-Residential Attendance Centre (NRAC)
A community-based program supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of young people who have come into conflict with the law. NRAC offers cognitive skill-building programs alongside academic and employment support, meeting youth where they are and helping them move toward a more positive future.
Record Suspension Program
For individuals who have completed their sentence and remained law-abiding, this program supports the record suspension application process from start to finish. A fee-for-service program that helps clear the path to new opportunities in employment, travel, and beyond.
